Waterloo Geophysics Inc (WGI) was founded by Dr. J. P. Greenhouse in 1984 as a provider of shallow geophysical services for groundwater and engineering investigations.

The firm pioneered the application of terrain conductivity for mapping landfill leachate plumes and the adaption of seismic reflection in shallow applications.

Throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s WGI partnered closely with Hyd-Eng Geophysics Inc providing senior guidance for a broad range of applications of geophysical techniques. In 2006 P.Pehme became the president and senior scientist.

WGI continues to provide senior level consulting for innovative applications of shallow geophysical techniques as well as broadening the focus to include emerging hydro-physical technologies and applications.
